About Ashley Kleeberg

Ashley Kleeberg (she/her)

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Connecticut, trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. I work with adults (18+) and primarily use EMDR as my main treatment modality, while also incorporating an eclectic approach tailored to your needs.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential to healing, so I prioritize building trust, rapport, and safety. I understand that trust takes time, and I incorporate appropriate self-disclosure, humor, and authenticity into my practice. Therapy works best when we show up as our true selves, and I strive to be my genuine self with you, too. If you're seeking a blank-slate therapist, I may not be the best fit for you. I’m down-to-earth, have tattoos, and enjoy laughing loudly while maintaining professionalism, validating your emotions, and accompanying you through the highs and lows of trauma recovery.

I primarily support adults with a history of trauma, abuse, neglect, and complicated family dynamics. As an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, I love working with individuals exploring their gender identity and embracing their true selves. Together, we can help you reclaim your sense of self, bolster your confidence, navigate intense emotions, and celebrate all the wonderful and unique parts of who you are.

When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, knitting, getting tattoos, gardening, and exploring spooky places or watching Halloween movies.
